The incidence of anal sac diseases among dogs is high, with anal sac impaction being a common reason for visits to the vet.

The main treatment, which is to empty the anal sac by manual expression, neither treats the underlying disease nor prevent recurrence which can happen as quickly as three weeks after treatment.

ProGlan supports faecal consistency to assist natural mechanical emptying of anal glands in dogs.

proGlan adds natural fibres to increase the bulk of stools and aid stool consistency. Larger stools with better consistency provide increased mechanical pressure to assist regular anal gland emptying as stools are passed. Boosting the gut microbiome function supports ongoing gut stability, reducing the chance of further blockages.

Ingredients and benefits: 

Pumpkin seeds: Great source of fibre, supporting bulking of stools. They also contain important vitamins, minerals and antioxidants

Apple pectin fibre: Absorbs water to bulk out stools and acts as food (prebiotic) for gut microbes to help them proliferate

Probiotic (Bacillus velezensis): Probiotic bacteria with positive effects on stool consistency

Styphnolobium japonicum flower bud: A natural antioxidant with soothing properties

Echinacea: Supports a healthy immune and response

Vitamin C: A soothing antioxidant that supports the immune response

Vitamin E: An antioxidant and fat-soluble vitamin that supports immune response

Give 1/2 the recommended amount for the first 5-7 days to allow your pet to adjust to the increased dietary fibre. Then give recommended amount once daily. Allow free access to drinking water. If your dog's anal glands are impacted, consult your vet.
